Established in 2024, we are an independent battery energy storage business headquartered in Edinburgh, UK.
Backed by EIG, a leading institutional investor in the global energy and infrastructure sectors, and the National Wealth Fund, the UK government’s principal investor and policy bank driving investment into the UK’s clean energy and growth industries, we believe that energy storage will play a crucial role in the decarbonisation of our electricity systems.

Our projects

Thorpe Marsh
Thorpe Marsh is the largest battery storage project in the UK at 1.45GW (2.9GWh). The project is being developed by Fidra Energy on land adjacent to a former coal station site and large National Grid substation in Yorkshire, England.

West Burton C is a 500MW (1GWh) battery storage project located in Nottinghamshire, adjacent to the existing West Burton B gas-fired power station and the proposed site of the UK’s prototype nuclear fusion plant.

Located on a 40 acre site adjacent to the Bicker Fen 400kV substation, the Bicker Fen project is in early stage development with an expected storage capacity of 1.2GW (2.4GWh).
