Fidra Energy nominated at the Energy Storage Awards

Fidra Energy are finalists at the Energy Storage Awards 2024!

The team have been nominated for ‘Grid-Scale Standalone Energy Storage Project of the Year’. This nomination is a result of the Fidra Energy team’s hard work and dedication on our West Burton C project.

West Burton C is a 500MW (1GWh) battery storage project located in Nottinghamshire, adjacent to the existing West Burton B gas-fired power station and the proposed site of the UK’s prototype nuclear fusion plant.

The Fidra Energy team are looking forward to attending the award ceremony in November and celebrating the UK’s energy storage industry.

Chris Elder, Fidra Energy’s CEO, said: “We’re thrilled to be nominated at the Energy Storage Awards this year. It’s great for our team to be recognised for their efforts on the West Burton C project, and an honour to be up against some of the biggest and best names in the energy storage industry.

“We look forward to attending the awards and celebrating alongside the other nominees.”
